Noises Off!
Dates: April 17-19, 24-26
Called “the funniest farce ever written,” Noises Off presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing’s On. Doors slamming, on and offstage intrigue, and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play. Complete with a set that turns around 180 degrees, this is a theatre staple not to be missed.
Oklahoma!
Dates: July 19-20, 24-26
In a Western territory just after the turn of the 20th century, a high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys provides a colorful background for Curly, a charming cowboy, and Laurey, a feisty farm girl, and Jud, a lonely farmhand. Contrasted with the comic exploits of brazen Ado Annie and hapless Will Parker, Oklahoma! is the first true American musical that has shown it’s staying power for over 80 years.
Anne of Green Gables
Dates: September 25-27, October 2-4
Nunsense is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns of the Little Sisters of Hoboken trying to manage a fundraiser. Sadly, the rest of the sisterhood died from botulism after eating a meal prepared by Sister Julia (Child of God). Thus, the remaining nuns stage a talent show in order to raise the money to bury their dearly departed. With catchy songs and irreverent comedy, Nunsense is sure to keep audiences rolling with laughter.
Annie
Dates: December 11-13, 18-20
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations… and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.
